Disclaimer

The tools on this site are provided for general information and convenience. They are offered as they are, without any warranty of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or freedom from error. Using them is your decision, and the results are yours to check.

Accuracy of results

Every tool is built with care and tested against known cases, but software has bugs, inputs get mistyped, and edge cases exist that nobody thought of. A result may be wrong. Before you rely on any figure, conversion, generated code or processed file for a decision that matters, verify it independently — against a second source, a professional, or the original specification. If a tool and an authoritative source disagree, the authoritative source is right.

Not professional advice

Nothing on this site is financial, tax, legal, medical, engineering or other professional advice. The loan, mortgage, tax, VAT, salary and business calculators apply general formulas to the numbers you enter; they do not know your circumstances, your jurisdiction's current rules, or the exceptions that apply to you. The health calculators produce population estimates, not a diagnosis or a plan. The construction and DIY calculators give rough quantities, not a specification. For anything with real consequences — money, health, contracts, safety — consult a qualified person who can take your situation into account.

Rates, rules and reference data

Where a tool uses a rate, threshold, exchange rate, standard or reference table, that data may be out of date, simplified, or specific to one country. Tax bands change every year; currency rates move every minute; standards are revised. Tools that let you enter the rate yourself are only as accurate as the rate you enter. Check the current figure with the relevant authority before acting on a result.

Generated code and content

CSS, HTML, JavaScript, structured data, configuration files and other output produced by the generators is a starting point. It is not guaranteed to be valid, secure, accessible, compatible with every browser or environment, or suitable for production use without review. Test it in your own project before you ship it. Validators and checkers report what they can detect; a clean result does not mean a document, page or address is correct, only that no problem was found by that check.

Files you process

Image, audio, video and PDF tools operate on your files in your browser. Keep your original. A tool may produce output that is degraded, incomplete or not what you expected, and there is no undo other than the file you started with. Watermarking, redaction and metadata removal are done in good faith, but you are responsible for confirming that the output meets your needs before you share it — inspect a redacted document yourself before treating it as safe.

Security tools

Hash, HMAC, password, token and encoding tools are utilities for developers, not a security product. A generated password is only as safe as where you store it. A decoded token is not a verified token. The Caesar cipher and similar tools are puzzles, not encryption, and provide no protection for anything confidential.

Availability

The site may be changed, taken offline or have tools removed at any time without notice. Do not build a process that depends on a tool here continuing to exist or behave the same way.

External links and advertising

Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or accuracy. Advertisements shown on the site are served by third parties; an advert appearing here is not an endorsement of the product or service.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of this site accepts no liability for any loss or damage — direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise — arising from the use of, or inability to use, any tool or information on this site, including loss arising from an incorrect result, a defective file, or reliance on generated content. If you do not accept this, do not use the tools.

Reporting a problem

If a tool gives a wrong answer, we would like to know. Send the tool's address, the inputs and the result you expected to hello@onetask.tools.
