Writing and Editing Tools
Tools for prose. Count it, time it, change its case, compare two versions, clean the whitespace out of it, find out what that odd character actually is, and generate placeholder text when you need some. Each tool works on whatever you paste and shows the result as you type.

Counting
The word counter and character counter show words, characters with and without spaces, sentences and paragraphs, updating on every keystroke. They count the way most editors do — words are runs of non-whitespace, characters are Unicode code points — and the pages explain the cases where tools disagree, such as hyphenated words and emoji. Reading time divides the word count by a stated reading speed you can change. Keyword density lists the most frequent words and phrases with their share of the total, which is useful both for SEO and for noticing a word you have overused.
Changing case
Case converter handles upper, lower, sentence and title case plus the programmer's variants — camel, snake, kebab. Headline case applies a proper style-guide title case: small words stay lowercase unless they start the headline, and the style guide is selectable. Mocking case alternates letters for the meme. Reverse text flips strings, words or lines.
Comparing versions
The diff tool shows two texts side by side with insertions and deletions highlighted, at line or word granularity. It is the quickest way to see what changed between two drafts, two copies of a contract clause, or two versions of a config file, without installing anything.
Cleaning and inspecting
Whitespace cleaner collapses runs of spaces, strips trailing whitespace, normalises line endings and removes the invisible characters that come along with copied text. Unicode inspector shows every character in a string with its code point and name, which is how you find the non-breaking space or zero-width joiner that is breaking a search. Unicode styler produces the bold, italic and script lookalikes used on platforms that do not allow formatting, and zalgo stacks combining marks for the glitchy effect.
Placeholder text
The lorem ipsum generator produces paragraphs, sentences or words of the standard text, or a plain-English alternative if you would rather the placeholder was readable, so layouts can be checked before the real copy exists.

Drafts are unpublished by definition. Nothing pasted here is sent anywhere; processing happens in your browser and is gone when you close the tab.
