Anagram Solvers and Rhyme Finder

Unscrambling Jumbled Letters, Two-Word Anagrams and Near Rhymes by Syllable

Rearrange letters into words. The anagram solver finds single words and two-word phrases that use every letter, the unscrambler lists every word hidden in a jumble from longest to shortest, and the rhyme finder groups words that sound alike by syllable count.

Spelling versus sound

Anagrams and unscrambling work on letters, so they use the spelling dictionary. Rhymes depend on sound, so the rhyme finder uses a pronouncing dictionary that records the vowels and consonants of each word, which is why bough and cow rhyme but bough and rough do not.

Anagrams versus unscrambles

An anagram uses every letter exactly once, so LISTEN becomes SILENT or TINSEL. Unscrambling is looser: it lists every word hidden in the letters, including shorter ones like LIST and TEN. Use the anagram solver for wordplay and cryptic clues, and the unscrambler for jumbles and letter games.
