Free Media, Image, Audio and PDF Tools
Media tools that never see your media. Every page here runs on the file you choose using the browser's own canvas, audio and file APIs, so the photo, recording or PDF you are working on never leaves the machine it is already on — and the result downloads straight back to you. The tools are grouped by the kind of file.

How the media tools are organised
Images is the largest group: cropping to an aspect ratio, compressing to a target size in kilobytes, stripping EXIF data, building a favicon package, adding film grain, extracting GIF frames, changing DPI, redacting, converting to ASCII or WebP, upscaling pixel art, hiding text in an image, removing a background to transparent PNG, optimising SVG, and generating QR codes, barcodes and ASCII art.
Audio turns the browser into a small studio: pitch and speed changes, a decibel meter, a metronome, Morse code as sound, stereo to mono, a tone generator and WAV to MP3 conversion.
Video & Screen records your screen, captures a still frame from a video, and inspects the viewport you are looking at.
PDF counts pages, rotates, splits and watermarks — the routine edits that usually mean uploading a document to a site you have never heard of.
Why a media tool being local matters more than most
A photo carries the coordinates of where it was taken. A PDF carries the name of whoever created it and often a draft history. A screen recording carries everything that was on your screen. Uploading any of these to a converter means trusting a stranger with that metadata as well as the content. These tools decode, process and re-encode entirely on your device, so the only copy that exists is the one you already have and the one you download.
Vector, raster and the gap between them
Several tools sit on the boundary between formats. SVG optimisation removes editor cruft without changing the drawing; WebP conversion trades a little compatibility for a lot of file size; DPI changes alter how a print program sizes the image without touching a single pixel. Each page explains which kind of change it makes so you know whether the output is lossless.
Practical limits
Because the work happens in your browser, the limit is your device's memory rather than a server's upload cap. A phone will comfortably handle a photo; a multi-gigabyte video is better handled by a desktop application, and the pages say so where it matters.
FAQ
Are my images or PDFs uploaded to a server?
No. Files are read with the browser's File API and processed on a canvas or in memory inside the page. There is no upload endpoint on this site, so there is nothing to receive them and nothing stored afterwards.
Does stripping EXIF data change how my photo looks?
Not visibly. The image is decoded and redrawn pixel for pixel, then re-encoded without the metadata block. A JPEG re-encode is lossy in principle, so the tool encodes at high quality — and offers PNG output if you need a mathematically identical result.
Why is there a file size limit in practice?
Because everything runs in your browser's memory rather than on a server. A very large image or a hundred-page PDF is limited by the RAM available to the tab, which on a modern desktop means several hundred megabytes is usually fine and a phone will manage less.
Can I use these tools without an internet connection?
Yes, once the page has loaded. The tools are plain JavaScript served with the page, no library is fetched from a CDN, and none of them makes a network request while running — so they keep working with the connection off.
Is the output free to use commercially?
Yes. Images, barcodes, audio and PDFs produced here are yours, with no licence, attribution requirement or watermark attached. A generated EAN-13 still needs a number you are entitled to use, which comes from GS1 rather than from us.
