The numbered station is what the navy or the survey calls it, the world with a number, Station Tarsis-7, Veyra Station 12, Seraphis Platform 3, or the bare type with a number, Orbital 12, Habitat 41, Relay 7, or Waystation with the world, Waystation Thule, Waystation Cinder, which is how a station is known when it is one of dozens and nobody has loved it yet. The corporate platform is the company's, its name with a type and a number or an ordinal in the manner of a rig or a plant, Halcyon Dynamics Platform Nine, Orvane Industrial Depot 44, Kestrel Orbital Yard Three, Tarsis Mining Habitat 17, Farrow-Voss Terminal, Nakamura Void Works Spire, Castellan Holdings Orbital, since a station built for profit is named for the ledger. The crew nickname is what the people who live there call it, an adjective and a homely thing, the Rust Bucket, the Tin Can, the Old Wheel, the Cold Kettle, the Leaky Barrel, the Big Ring, the Dark Hive, the Bent Spindle, the Last Roost, the Far Perch, or the bare thing, the Can, the Nest, the Lamp, the Anchor, the Shelf, or a coined word with the thing, Meridian Wheel, Vantage Cage, since no crew ever called a station by its corporate name for long.

Named station gives the ordinary one. Numbered station gives the navy's. Corporate platform gives the company's. Crew nickname gives the one on the bar sign.

There is no gender option, since a station has none.
