How the Anime Hero Name Generator works
An anime hero name generator for the heroes of your hero-school story. In hero academy anime, almost everyone has a power, and the heroes who use them for good pick a name the whole country will know. Pick a type and generate a hero name, a power, a costume or a ranking.
How the anime hero name generator works
Hero names are short, catchy and often hint at the power, Quakeboy or Snowglobe. Powers are specific and a little strange, since in these stories every power has a catch. Costumes are designed around the power. Rankings show how famous a hero is. Student and hero name gives both the real name and the chosen hero name, the way students pick names at hero school. For western-style heroes, try the superhero name generator.

FAQ
How do I pick a hero name?
Start with the power, then find a short word or pun that hints at it. A hero who shrinks could be Pinwheel or Button. The best hero names are easy to shout and look good on merchandise.
What makes a good anime hero power?
A good power is specific and has a limit or cost. Turning sweat into glue is more interesting than simple super strength, because the hero has to be clever about when and how to use it.
Should my hero's costume match the power?
Yes. Costumes in hero anime are part equipment and part branding. A fire hero wears heat-proof gear, and a hero with steel hair might wear gloves to protect their hands while using it.
Can I use these for My Hero Academia OCs?
Yes. The hero names, powers and costumes are original, so they are free to use for OCs in fan fiction, roleplay and games without copying canon heroes.
