How the FFXIV name generator works
Humans get French and English names, Lucien Montclair. Tall elves get French given names and noble surnames, Aubert de Vallois. Small folk get playful doubled syllables, where the surname echoes the first name, Lolo Tata. Cat folk from the sun tribes get a single capital letter and an apostrophe before the given name, S'rhia Kholo. Sea giants get compound names built from sea words and old endings like wyb. Horned dragon-kin get Japanese given names and surnames. Rabbit folk get short names and a woodland family name, and lion folk get deep, rolling names. Free company names mix fantasy words with a company or caravan.
